Magdalena Bay and our Campsite
Our campsite for four nights was an isolated beach next to the sand dunes.
Below, left, standing in front of the dining room tent for orientation. On the right is the kitchen tent. The food was
spectacular.

One afternoon we took the boat
across to the Pacific side of
Magdalena Bay where we walked
the sand dunes across the sand bar
to the Pacific Ocean.
The cormorants (mixed with pelicans)
were spectacular. Sometimes we saw
lines of cormorant flying that were
miles long.
Frigate Birds were also quite
abundant.
We saw quite a number of squid
washed up on the beaches.

the dead squid.
