Serengeti Balloon Ride
We got up at 4:30 a.m. so as to be at the launch site by 6:30 a.m. sunrise. There were two identical balloons. The
basket was on its side. We lay against the wall of the basket. When the balloon went up, our basket became vertical and
we were now standing. A balloon ride is much smoother than a plane ride as one is riding with the wind.
After breakfast we were off once again in the Landrover on our Safari.
After about an hours flight our balloon landed in an open area and the ground crew picked us up and popped the
champagne bottles. Shortly thereafter, we were treated to breakfast under an acacia tree with English China.
