The Puffins of Kodiak Island
Following our visit to the rafting otters, Lee took us to a very small island (or big rock) to see the Puffins nesting. The Puffins
made their nests in burrows in the ground.
The puffins were bringing back food for the babies in the nests.
The puffins are very awkward taking off and landing. Once they take off, they move so fast that it is a challenge to catch their
movements in flight.
Right, a puffin comes in for
a crash landing.
Right, squawking gulls.
