The White Tern (sometimes incorrectly referred to as the Fairy Tern) is a small seabird found across the tropical oceans of the
world. The White Tern is not considered threatened as it is a widespread species with several large colonies around the world.
We encountered our first terns within minutes after having breakfast on our first day and could not help but fall in love with
these adorable birds.
Moments later these curious birds were flying right up to our faces to check us out. Quickly I put down my telephoto lens and
reached for a camera with a normal lens so that I could take a picture of these birds in flight in front of me.
Over the next few days we continued to enjoy these lovely birds, these two flying next to a vent on a building.
And then on our last two bonus days when we got stuck on the island, we saw some White Tern sex.
