Hiking up Mount Pleasant
Fireweed and a View of Port Angeles Harbor
August 10, 2008
It was a cloudy day, but we needed some exercise and decided to climb part way up Mount Pleasant on a logging road just a
couple miles behind our house. Beginning half way up, there was logging a couple years ago, and the fireweed was spectacular.
Despite the cloudiness, we had a nice view of the Port Angeles harbor with three oil tankers and the coast guard station in the
background on Ediz Hook.
Jackie had a great time picking and eating berries.
Even the thistles looked
spectacular.
