Our First Snowy Owl
When we arrived at Damon Point, we walked out wondering where to find snowy owls. We walked towards the grassy area on the southern
side of the point where we saw a snowy owl and a couple photographers. As we walked towards them, a man stopped to talk to us and
explained that the owls tend to roam around the grassy area on the south side.

For the next two hours we stood and watched this owl. He never moved from his perch, but he constantly moved, stretching, cleaning himself,
yawning, and dozing, and turning his head 360 degrees to keep track of his surroundings. These are pictures of the special bird in
chronological order.
Yawn
Stretch
After a couple hours, we moved on to other snowy owls. Dana Point is a photographers dream with the driftwood and dead grass.
