Miscellaneous Stuff about our trip to South Georgia
Trips to shore were in Zodiaks. This particular picture is out of the ordinary in that the water is relatively calm.
We did stop one day in Gritvicken, the old whaling station where Ernest Shackleton is buried.

This is a replica of the boat that Shackleton used to make his voyage from Elephant Island to South Georgia. Jackie and
I hiked the last mile of his trip across South Georgia.
Snow and rain were prevalent most days that we were in South Georgia.
And there was one day of sunshine.
